The dirtiest parts of a garment are usually collars and cuffs because they are more exposed to dirt and they are in direct contact with skin.
Most stains in these areas are greasy: sweat, makeup (such as blush or beauty creams), food, etc.
These stains are the most common on shirts and it’s difficult to hide them, especially on white fabrics. Some makeup stains are extremely difficult to remove, especially if the product is waterproof, and it is necessary to use a highly technical and specific stain-remover.
To completely remove these stains, our first tip is to be quick: the longer you wait before washing dirty clothes, the more complicated it will be to eliminate the stain.
Anyway it may happen that we notice these unpleasant dirt marks afterwards. In this case it is possible to restore garments to their original brightness by pre-treating the part with specific products, without damaging fibres and fabrics.

To eliminate stains on collars and cuffs, it is necessary to use a product that combines the characteristics of a spotting agent and a degreaser and enzymatic components. It’s important to use a product with these features because we’ll have to eliminate food stains (removable with an enzymatic action) or makeup and sweat stains (removable with surfactants or degreasing solvents). STAIN-REMOVING ADDITIVE FOR LAUNDRYFor a stain-removing pre-treatment and to eliminate the dirt on collars and cuffs directly in the wash, it is advisable to use Tintolav® X9 DEGREASER. This product can be used both as a washing additive and as main detergent. X9 Degreaser has a strongly emulsifying and degreasing action, thanks to the high concentration of solvents and enzymes. EMULSIFYING/DEGREASING DETERGENTTo eliminate grease and dirt stains, and in particular the ones on collars and cuffs, with a single complete detergent, it is advisable to use HygienFresh® EMULSENE F4 because of its complete formula with high concentration of emulsifying surfactants, optical brighteners (to increase the degree of white of light shirts) and a multi-enzymatic complex (Protease, Amylase, Lipase and Cellulase) to eliminate difficult dirt and emulsify grease and oil.
